A Brazilian runner won the 2012 Walt Disney World
Marathon this week in a pair of running shoes made
by El Paso-based Spira Footwear, the company reported.
Fredison Costa of Brazil edged out fellow Brazilian
and seven-time time champion, Adriano Bastos, to
win the race for the second straight year.
Costa finished the race in 2 hours and 19 minutes
-- 14 seconds faster than Bastos.
The 19th annual marathon attracted more than 16,000
runners, according to Florida media reports. The
runners ran through four Disney theme parks in Orlando.
