• Less Weight. Engineered mesh offers improved comfort and a disappearing feel on your foot. It helps reduce the weight of the shoe while supplying a more consistent fit. And we reduced the size of the heel and tongue, saving even more weight.
• Light Feel. See how the midsole bulges out by the heel? Nike designed it that way to help reduce weight on the inside of the foot to give you a more stable ride. Nike reduced the weight of the outsole by using a thinner rubber compared to the Vaporfly 3. You still get the same reliability, just without any unnecessary thickness.
• What's New About the Vaporfly 4? Nike took a race-car approach when updating the Vaporfly 4, making many minor tweaks so you can pursue major gains. They trimmed weight in the midsole, outsole and upper without sacrificing performance.
